Follow the footsteps of the leopard
We are always surprised at how a visit to Tinga can completely restore our energy and allow us to take a breath and relax. When you’re right on the Sabie River, watching the animals, surrounded by bush and sky, you really feel like you’ve escaped from the world. With 5000 hectares of wild bush in this private concession within the world-renowned Kruger National Park, you can go exploring off-road and follow the footsteps of the leopard, track down a herd of elephant or simply wait for them to come to you.
There are two lodges at Tinga, Narina Lodge and Legends Lodge, each with nine private suites, making it a very personal experience. Our Tinga staff are often called mind readers, sometimes saints and quite frequently invited to go back home with our guests (an invitation which they politely decline). They make it possible for guests to surrender, with every need taken care of and the guests’ comfort their first priority. Life at Tinga has a timeless quality, where you can get lost in a moment, and take the time to really explore this piece of Africa on the banks of the Sabie River. If you want to escape from real life, Tinga is where you need to go.
We have hosted both intimate and larger safari weddings at our private lodges, so we know what a memorable setting they can be for that special occasion. If you are considering getting married with us, please make contact so that we can start planning and tailoring the event early, as we know that each occasion is unique in its requirements. You can either come meet with us at the lodge, or we can communicate via telephone to start sculpting the perfect program of events for your consideration. Although the wedding party numbers are limited due to Lodge size, this in fact can add to making this an even more unforgettable experience, shared only with close friends and family. We look forward to planning this special day for you and your partner.
