Prynnsberg is a wedding venue where you own the space. And it's a big space ; 1200 hektares of one of the most beautiful regions of South Africa. Eastern Free State 'cherry country.
Prynnsberg has been appropriately described as “the architectural jewel of the Eastern Free State”, it is one of the most magnificent sandstone buildings in the country. It was built in 1881 on the proceeds of a diamond mining fortune . The original creator , Kimberly diamond magnate Charles Newberry had a vision to create a classic English style country estate in a wild and beautiful corner of Africa. In pursuit of this vision he built the flamboyant Prynnsberg Manor house, two church's , a vicerage , a game keepers lodge , a classic victorian stable block and various other estate buildings all out of local sandstone.
A recent addition to Prynnsberg is it's glamping (glamarous camping) site.
Prynnsbergs historic buildings, it's glamping site and the beauty of the estate at large (with its own polo field) are the foundation blocks on which to build a highly original and 'never done before' sort of wedding.
