At Nacht Wacht, on the R316 between Bredasdorp and Arniston (Waenhuiskrans), we offer an extensive all-in-one wedding service.
An old barn, that used to serve as stables, has been transformed into our wedding venue. It has a double-volume open thatched roof and big, dome-shaped wooden sliding doors. It can seat up to 100 guests.
We offer a complete package, including catering to flowers to dècor. A beauty therapist for the bride and her entourage, even the wedding car can be arranged by us. We also offer accommodation for the newly-weds as well as the guests on the farm.
For the formal service, there are quite a few churches to choose from in the area - from the quaint and intimate, to the grandiose. The Dutch Reformed Church in Bredasdorp is an impressive example of Cape-Gothic architecture, dating back to 1838. Weddings and services are also still being held in the Old Anglican Church, now the All Saints church, erected in 1863 and designed by Sophie Grey.
Beautiful settings for unique wedding pictures are abundant. There is the fisherman's village 'Kassiesbaai' at Arniston, the 'most photographed town in the country'. Nearby Arniston, Struisbaai and Cape Agulhas also boast pristine white beaches and sand dunes with a crystal-clear sea. The historic Agulhas lighthouse, at the southern most tip of Africa, is another unique setting to capture photographs of your special moment. At Nacht Wacht, our own beautiful gardens and historic buildings make a stunning backdrop, as does the old swinging bridge over the Kars River.
We believe that every wedding should be unique, and every detail of the menu, flowers, dècor, etc. is discussed with the bride.
