Ettiene and Tamryn became husband and wife in a low key, intimate ceremony at Oakfield Farm. The venue supplied a horse and carriage to collect the bride and bridesmaids and take them down to the chapel.
The bride walked down the aisle with her father to an instrumental version of ‘That’s All I Ask of You’ from the Phantom of the Opera. The chapel was filled with candles, creating a dreamlike glow.
Their short and sweet ceremony was officiated by Larne Trevor Hugo, who spoke about the history of covenant-making and also read out some poems. After the couple were pronounced husband and wife, he also read out an Irish blessing.
Following the ceremony, guests blew bubbles over them instead of throwing confetti, and Tamryn and Ettiene released two peace doves in a symbolic display.
