After first getting to know each other at primary school, Dale and Stacey lost touch, before being reintroduced by Stacey’s cousin on a night out at a local pub.
Romance blossomed and the couple dated for three years before Dale asked Stacey to marry him in a private and intimate proposal as they enjoyed a breakfast and cheetah walk at Tshukudu Logde in Hoedspruit.
Dale knew Stacey didn’t want to be proposed to in front of a large crowd, so he waited until they were in a secluded spot by the watering hole, with just cheetahs as the witnesses, before going down on one knee.
The engagement ring was totally unique – the couple used diamonds from both sides of their families to symbolise them joining together, and designed the setting themselves.
Dale and Stacey were engaged for two and a half years before becoming husband and wife.
