The religious ceremony was gorgeously rustic and took place at their chosen venue, 'Oppiplaas' Private Game Farm, underneath a 300 year old Marula tree. Guests sat on bales of hay and the tree was decorated beautifully with ribbon and lanterns in purple, white and silver.
The venue was perfect for Nita and Rossouw and fit in with the relaxed, intimate theme of their wedding. The couple’s good friend MC Engelbrecht was a clear choice for their celebrant, as he knew the couple and their history so well.
Even though MC had moved to Villiersdorp earlier in the year and wasn’t sure if he could attend, Nita wouldn’t take no for an answer and flew him and his wife over especially for the wedding! MC gave the smitten couple a lovely reading where he referred to the Marula tree as a symbol for how their love has grown.
After the final prayer, everyone spontaneously started singing a blessing for the couple which moved them close to tears!
