Nita wasn’t keen on wearing white so she chose to get married in her favourite colour, purple. In Nita’s family it’s a tradition that her mother makes the wedding dresses so this wedding was no different!
Nita and her mother bought all the material for the dress at one of their favourite fabric shops, but panicked when they realised the material for the blouse part was the wrong shade of purple!
Fortunately her Mum came to the rescue and found Nita’s old bed sheet which was the perfect colour. At least the ‘something old’ part was covered!
Nita’s bespoke dress was very unique and exactly what she wanted. The blouse of the dress was embroidered with long sleeves and had a long flowing skirt in lighter shades of purple.
Because of the farm location of the wedding, a pair of heels would not have been practical, so Nita opted for Converse instead which suited her fun personality perfectly!
She paired her dress with a white gold necklace and a tanzanite tennis bracelet and earrings set which was a birthday present from Rossouw.
Nita entrusted her good friend and hairdresser Rufus Kruger from Spectacular Hair Design to do her hair, who kindly travelled 300km to do it for free as a wedding gift!
For the make-up, Yo-Landi from YG face gave Nita a classic look with smoky eyes and a berry lip.
