Nicky and Cris were married in a civil service under the oak trees at The Hollow Tree. Minister Ecclesia de Lange conducted the ceremony, and both Nicky and Cris felt really comfortable with her. She even wore purple to match the couple’s attire!
Nicky was walked down the aisle by her three sons. The eldest walked her from the car to the path, where the middle son was waiting, and he walked her halfway down to meet the youngest son. This way they were all involved.
The couple chose not to have hymns and readings, but instead made promises to each other’s children, and presented each of them with a wedding ring. Nicky and Cris then exchanged rings which were brought to them by their two year old foster son.
The guests sat in a spiral formation and blew heart shaped bubbles throughout the ceremony to celebrate.
