After the ceremony it was on to their venue, Running Waters in Port Elizabeth, to let the celebrations commence.
The couple chose the venue because they felt its glamorous and modern look suited their personalities along with the chosen colour scheme.
Megan and Keanen wanted their reception to have a party atmosphere so that guests could let their guard down.
The reception music was a mixture of live jazz music for the first part and then a DJ later on to play some dance tunes. This was to suit the couple’s different music tastes and the variety gave the reception a unique touch.
The décor of the reception was very elegant and it was clear to see that a lot of detail had gone into the planning. As with the dress, Megan knew just what she wanted and worked hard with Keanen to bring both their styles together in the décor.
The tables were decked out in striped silver tablecloths with lots of fabulous details such as sparkly silver napkin holders, silver plates and a breath taking floral centrepiece.
Like the bridal bouquet, the flowers on the tables were also arranged by Floral Creations and suited the overall look of the reception wonderfully.
The centrepieces consisted of tall crystal vases that rose proudly above the tables, filled with sprigs of gypsophila and a mixture of white and yellow flowers. Chandelier style crystals hung from the top of the vases to add that extra touch of class.
The atmosphere at the couple’s reception was amazing and little details were added in here and there to add that personal touch. For example, a different song was played before each of the speeches so that each person had a special song suited to them.
