The wedding reception took place in the Boma area of the Kwalata Game Reserve. The area over the reception tables has a thatched roof, but there is also an open air bonfire to gather round. The colour scheme at the reception was inspired by the surrounding bush, with lots of neutral browns and greens, with touches of silver. The bride’s mother helped to decorate the wedding venue, including arranging the large, stunning floral arrangements on the reception table.
Guests enjoyed a buffet dinner and emotional, heartfelt speeches, before dancing to a variety of music played by a DJ. Each guest received a homemade favour from the newlyweds, which consisted of jars filled with love heart sweets, covered in hessian and decorated with porcupine quills. A thank you card was attached to each small gift.
