Getting Married in Vanuatu

Marriage Requirements


It is necessary to have spent at least three days in Vanuatu before your intended marriage date. This is a period of time to meet your marriage coordinator and finalise your documentation. You will need to fax or scan the following documents to the wedding celebrant: copies of both passports, copies of both full birth certificates plus a completed Certificate of Intended Marriage, which will need to be witnessed by 2 people when you arrive in Vanuatu. If you're having a catholic wedding, then you will need to provide a Letter of Freedom and it will be necessary for your priest to speak to the priest in Port Vila.
