Marriage Requirements

Dominican Republic

Unlike some of the other Caribbean islands, there is no minimum waiting time before you can get married, nor do you require a blood test. You will need to nominate two witnesses and have to hand your passports and birth certificates. You will also need a legalised Spanish single status certificate for each party. The cost of the marriage certificate is between US$60-100. Once you're married you will be handed a document to prove this and will then be able to request a local Justice of the Peace to issue a Marriage Certificate.
