If you're dreaming of a romantic idyll for your honeymoon destination then why not consider the Cayman Islands. Located just south of Cuba in the Caribbean, they have a British heritage blended with an exciting Caribbean twist. You can choose from churches, gardens, beaches or even underwater to exchange your vows and with a myriad of scenic locations with stunning backdrops, in which to hold your reception, weddings abroad in the Cayman Islands can make your wildest dreams come true.
Getting married in the Cayman Islands is easy and you can even get married on the day you arrive. First you need to liaise with an official Marriage Officer to book your date and then you need to apply for the Marriage Licence by visiting the Passport and Corporate Services offices in Grand Cayman. The documents you will need to take are current passports and photo ID, full birth certificates and proof of marital status. You will also need a letter from the Marriage Officer who is going to conduct your ceremony together with an immigration card proving your arrival on the island or your cruise ship disembarkation pass. The cost is CI$150 for the licence and CI$50 application fee. The licence is valid for three months.
