Bahamas Overview

When you are deciding where to go for your honeymoon it's important to choose somewhere that suits you both. If you're looking for a romantic retreat with plenty of sun, sea and sand, then the Bahamas may be the ideal location for you. Stay on one of the main islands or if you prefer to be more secluded, then why not choose one of the Out Islands.

If you're looking for sun, sea and sand with an exciting Caribbean twist then why not visit the Bahamas. Flights from South Africa will connect you with Nassau in around 16 hours. You'll find lots of quirky reminders of the islands' British heritage plus extremely friendly people. Explore Nassau's colonial past or take a trip to one of 20 or so inhabited Out Islands which each have their own culture, character and charm. Bimini is very close to Florida and still retains a charm which is more akin to the 1950's. Aside of fishing, the sound of squawking seagulls and baked bread provide most of the excitement. Eleuthera boasts some of the finest beaches and is just a 20 minute sir flight from Nassau. Wherever you choose to visit, your honeymoon in the Bahamas will provide you with an unforgettable experience.
