It has some fabulous nature trails and is a good chance to see some flora and fauna, not to mention the wildlife. In essence, San Francisco is a city that would please even the most discerning of honeymoon couples.

– The climate in San Francisco can be quite mild with summers bringing in daily sea fog. This keeps the temperatures down to around 65-70 degrees. With this in mind, the best months to visit are April and October, when there seems to be hardly any rain and clearer skies.

Getting Married in San Francisco

Weddings abroad in San Francisco may not be something that you have thought of, but in reality there are so many fabulous places from which to base your wedding you will be spoilt for choice. Grace cathedral offers a grandiose venue in which to hold your ceremony. Step across the road and you have a beautiful park that makes a great backdrop to your wedding photos. The City Hall is a very popular venue with its large white dome, whilst if you fancy something a little more traditional, then there are a number of historic churches located throughout the city. To obtain your marriage licence you have to visit the County Clerk's office located in the city. Both people need to be present and you will have to bring with you your birth certificates and a valid photographic ID in the form of a drivers licence, or passport.
