Getting Married in Montreal

If you have never thought about weddings abroad in Montreal,Canada then you don't know what you're missing. Marriage Requirements


You must apply for a licence at least 20 days before you plan to get married as this is the time needed to publish the Banns. These will be placed in the local court house (this is where you purchase the licence from) and the place of your wedding. The cost of this is $247 Canadian dollars plus taxes. In order to make your purchase you are going to need proof of age in the form of a birth certificate and valid photo ID in the form of a drivers licence or a passport.
