You will need to file an Intention of Marriage Certificate which must be displayed for 21 days before a Marriage Licence will be granted. Photocopies of your personal documents need to be received at the Registry for verification at least 2 weeks before the intended date of your wedding. On your arrival you will need to bring both passports and original birth certificates. You must attend the registry office in person to apply for a Marriage Licence at least one day before your wedding. Two witnesses are required to be present at the ceremony. Catholic couples will need a Letter of Freedom together with their original baptism certificates. Cost of marriage licence is F$22.50.
