One of the couple will need to reside for at least 21 days in Dubai before they are able to get married. Only religious wedding ceremonies are legal and there are no civil ceremonies recognised under Dubai law. The basic documents a couple will require include valid passports, full birth certificates, and proof that they are free to marry. They will also need baptism certificates and passport sized photos of both of them. 2 witnesses are also required.
