It will also be necessary to give full details of both witnesses. Couples need to take with them valid passports as well as two copies, together with copies of the witnesses' passports. On arrival they will have to swear that the information they have given is correct. After the ceremony has taken place a marriage certificate is filed in Costa Rica.
