Barbados Overview

A honeymoon is naturally full of romance and exciting new beginnings so why not take in the warmth and vibrancy of a beautiful tropical island such as Barbados. It retains much of its English heritage and today, cricket is still the Island's favourite sport. Why not book into one of the stunning hotel resorts and surrender yourselves to the magic of Barbados.

If you're after more than just sea, sun and sand, Barbados has a wealth of exciting diversions, and with regular flights from South Africa, you could be starting the adventure of a lifetime in just over 36 hours. If you both love diving why not take a diving expedition in the shipwreck capital of the Caribbean or perhaps a sail boat tour where you can enjoy the sight of leatherback turtles frolicking in the inland reefs. To rejuvenate yourselves after an exhausting time of planning, there are plenty of spa retreats which may appeal to you. The island is also full of lush foliage and fauna and the best way to appreciate it is to take a simple stroll along a coastal path where a constant gentle breeze will help cool you down. No trip to Barbados is complete without trying the local rum which is believed to be the oldest distilled spirit in Barbados. Wind down your day with a rum punch, and the backdrop of the sun setting on a beautiful beach, now that really is a tropical paradise. With so much to see and do, the memories of your honeymoon in Barbados will stay with you forever.
