Everyone hopes that their wedding day will run smoothly to plan and that there will be no mishaps. However, there's often small things that can happen which can't be anticipated, so to be on the safe side it's a good idea to prepare an emergency kit for both the bride and the groom which can be looked after by the maid of honour and the best man .

Emergency

Here's a list of a few items which could be useful for the kits:

Hair brush/comb, hair spray, tissues, mouthwash, toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, fresh breath mints. Perfume. Extra items: spare pair of stockings, hair grips, static guard spray, stain remover and white chalk which is great for removing stains from the wedding dress.

A couple of needles and a few different coloured threads such as white, black, pink and blue. Spare buttons, safety pins and glue sticks. Double sided tape.

First aid

Painkillers, smelling salts, plasters, medical tape, wet wipes, sun screen, eye drops.

Small change, mobile phone and list of supplier/service contact names and numbers. Umbrellas and a few snacks.

The Groom's emergency kit (also for male members of the bridal party)
