To make your wedding truly memorable and stand out from the crowd, why not consider hiring some alternative entertainment to wow your guests and keep them occupied during such times as when you're having photographs taken or signing the register. Here's a few ideas which are fun and will make your wedding day even more special.

Magic

Magic Show

A professional events magician can regale your guests with deceptions of the eye and impressive tricks. He will move smoothly around the tables, performing tricks and wowing your guests and his sense of humour will keep the wedding entertainment light and fun. Some magicians offer magic shows for children to keep them amused whilst the speeches are taking place.

Belly Dancer

You might like to consider hiring a team of belly dancers to showcase this exotic eastern art. The colours, music and movements are enticing and bound to keep your guests riveted. There's something very magical and romantic about belly dancing and your guests will love it.

Fire twirling

This is a great form of entertainment for an evening wedding and a set of fire twirling artists can light up the sky whilst throwing, twirling and dancing with fire.

Caricature Artist

This provides a few laughs and offers a great alternative to wedding photos. Willing guests can have their caricatures drawn and displayed on a board. They could be used to replace wedding favours or act as a wonderful keepsake for the bride and groom.

Line Dancing

Involve all age groups by inviting a line dancing instructor to come and give your guests a lesson on the dance floor. It can take part after dessert and will give the guests lots of fun and get them in the party mood.

Photo booth

These are really popular at weddings and give the guests a chance to pose and preen, with or without props, for some funny photos which will again serve as keep sakes of the wedding.

Musician

Individual musicians can be hired to take part in the wedding ceremony itself or for such times as when the champagne and canapes are being passed around or whilst the wedding breakfast is being served. They can also play before the wedding DJ takes to the stage. A mellow saxophonist accompanied by a pianist tinkling on the keys would be a good choice or a harpist playing gentle evocative tunes.
