Tips for looking your best on the big day

Naturally you want to look your very best for your wedding since all eyes will be on you and you want to look and feel amazing. However, unless you’re extremely fortunate, there are certain beauty regimes that you may need to adopt for several months leading up to the wedding if you are to look your very best.

Leading

Lose Some Weight

If you’ve been meaning to lose weight for quite some time then there’s no better incentive than being able to fit into the wedding dress of your dreams. Crash diets are a definite no go just before the wedding as they will only make you feel tired and irritable. Instead, plan to lose weight steadily by following a sensible diet combined with regular exercise.

Problem Skin

If you suffer from problem skin then you really should consult with a dermatologist to correct any underlying problems. Make sure you drink plenty of water and get into the habit of removing your make up and cleansing your face no matter what time you crawl into bed. Experiment with products until you find ones that suit your skin and don’t irritate it, but make sure you do this in plenty of time before the wedding.

Exfoliate

Cold winters and hot summers can take a toll on your skin and so you must get into the habit of regularly exfoliating your skin to rid it of dead skin particles which make your skin look dull. You can buy scrubs which work well in the shower or make your own simple salt scrub with olive oil and sea salt. Alternatively you could practice dry body brushing. This system has been around for centuries and involves nothing more than brushing your skin with a dry natural brush to exfoliate, increase the circulation and force toxins through the sweat glands cleaning the body internally.

Fake Tan

If you’re planning on having a fake tan for the wedding, especially if you are wearing a strapless gown, then make sure you have a trial run several days before the wedding to make sure that the colour is right for you.

Spa Treatments

Treat yourself to a couple of facials and body wraps before the big day but again, allow a few days beforehand for your skin to settle back down. A massage is also a good idea to help take some of the stress away.

Follow these tips together with getting some regular exercise just to clear your mind of everything that is going on, and you’ll look more than amazing by the time your wedding date arrives.
