The key to organising a bachelorette party is planning and preparation – and if you’re going by the tradition that your maid of honor is head of organising it, make sure you drop some heavy hints as to what you are wanting – the last think you want is to be blind folded spraying whipped cream onto a naked, spray-tanned man and hating every minute of it. So if feather boas, ‘L’ plates and strippers make you wince at the thought, maybe a more sophisticated and civilized affair is more your style.

We all love to indulge, relax and express ourselves once in a while so we’ve come up with some fun ideas for your bachelorette party that a whole range of ages can take part in – and you won’t all need to be fighting fit to have fun!

Why not organize a chocolate tasting experience, there are plenty available to book and you can order the experience to be delivered to you at home or if you want to push the boat out, head out for a day of gaining insider chocolate knowledge and tasting tips.

If chocolate doesn’t suit all you bachelorettes, there are various other food/drink experiences out there. You could book a class in learning to cook a certain cuisine – from sushi to curry, to pastry puddings.

If all of the bachelorettes are over the age of 18, add a bit of sparkle to your party and take part in a wine tasting experience. Wine and champagne tasting can be heaps of fun and can act as a good ice breaker for those that don’t already know each other, it gives you all a chance to relax, team up, savor some amazing tastes and learn a few things along the way.

Organise a dance lesson for everyone – take a class in something none of you have done before, maybe Salsa, Tango or even street dance! Dance classes are a great way to keep fit, express yourselves and are a guaranteed laugh.

For an evening of laughter, suspense, drama, comedy and food, organize a Murder Mystery party. These can be conducted in the comfort of your own home with a home cooked meal alongside it, or be daring and book a mystery weekend away and have it all done for you.

If your idea of bachelorette heaven is being lazy and pampered, book a spa day or weekend away. If you’re sticking to a budget, recreate a spa in your own home – you could make your own face, hair and eye masks and organize for professional mani/pedi girls to come over.
