Neisha and Alessandro met at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Dubai where Neisha was on a singing contract and Italian Alessandro was staying on business. Having walked into the jazz club where Neisha was singing, the couple struck up a friendship through their mutual love for jazz music and travelling. After a year of friendship, romance blossomed and when Neisha was visiting Alessandro in his native Italy, Alessandro proposed. The romantic proposal took place when the couple were hiking around the Lake of Como, as they stood on a grassy ledge overlooking a breathtaking vista, Alessandro whispered “Will you marry me?”, it came as a complete surprise and Neisha describes it as one of the happiest days of her life.
