If you want to escape the city, then take a trip to the Muir Woods. Less than an hour from the city it houses some ancient Redwood trees which once thrived all over the states. It has some fabulous nature trails and is a good chance to see some flora and fauna, not to mention the wildlife. In essence, San Francisco is a city that would please even the most discerning of honeymoon couples.

– The climate in San Francisco can be quite mild with summers bringing in daily sea fog. This keeps the temperatures down to around 65-70 degrees. With this in mind, the best months to visit are April and October, when there seems to be hardly any rain and clearer skies.

– Emirates fly to San Francisco via Dubai from Johannesburg in around 23 hours. Alternatively Delta Airlines fly from Johannesburg to San Francisco Via Atlanta. This takes around 27 hours.
