If you're looking for a honeymoon where every day is an adventure, then Oman could be the perfect location for you. With stunning beaches, mountains, caves and deserts, plus lots of interesting cities and ancient sites to visit, there's more than enough to keep you occupied. Why not stay in one of the hotel resorts to experience all that this amazing country has to offer.
A honeymoon in Oman offers a diverse range of activities to do and places to visit. Regular flights from South Africa mean you could be wandering around the capital, Muscat in a little over 11 hours. The white washed city of Muscat is surrounded by a wall and protected by two well preserved forts, Al Jalali and Mirani. Wander round the narrow streets and take in the sight of 3 ornately carved gates. A visit to the Sultan's Palace on the waterfront is a must. As a refreshing contrast, the beach side town of Salalah is set amongst banana plantations and coconut groves and with its lush fauna you would almost imagine you were in the tropics. If you're after some retail therapy then visit the malls or haggle at the outdoor markets. Take a ride on Oman's only train to the underground caves of Al Hoota and enjoy some spectacular limestone wonders. With so much to see and do, you'll have an unforgettable time.
