A honeymoon in Bali can give the newly married couple a couple of weeks full of romance, relaxation and exciting adventures. For outdoor types there are plenty of great places to hike, there are stunning beaches on which to relax, and crystal blue waters to swim, dive or snorkel in. There is also a myriad of interesting temples and museums to browse and plenty of shopping opportunities too.

A honeymoon in Bali is as diverse as you want it to be. With frequent flights from South Africa you can be exploring the island in around 21 hours. If it's culture you're after, then the streets of Ubud are awash with it. The best way to get around is to hire a bike. Start at Monkey Forest, and then ride off to Goa Gajah, one of the holiest places in Bali. To end your day ride into the village of Petulu. If you're lucky you'll see an amazing migration which happens every night. If you want to try your hand at surfing then head over to Kuta where it's the best place to learn. The night life buzzes here too. Climb Mount Batur which is surrounded by a lake and provides a glorious setting. Finally, you might like to visit Gunung Kawi, a temple which is steeped in history and thought to date back to 1049. It is a place that is still used for meditation.
